[Description]
You are looking at a legendary “Western Electric Vacuum Tube 262A” and
RA-1032 Mic Preamp Module came straight out from Western Mixing Console.
I believe this module was made for RA-1142 Microphone around the 20s-40s
during the historical start of audio and broadcasting.
I was lucky enough to obtain this superb vintage gear from someone who attended
an estate sale held at a old closed-down studio.
As you can see in the picture, these item is in good condition.
Vacuum Tube has been tested. The reading is healthy 30(way above the minimum 20).
Usually the gears from this era(especially Western Electric) won’t even power up.
I guess it’s a miracle that this tube is still in healthy condition.
CAUTION: RA-1032 mic preamp is not tested due to lack of the power supply module from the mixer.
You will need a proper power supply, hopefully Western Electric one, in order to power this mic preamp up.
Western Electric equipments found these days should be treated as is.
Meaning these should be kept untouched as much as possible because of its nature of rarity.
Experiment it, enjoy it however you like.
